Pastor Anthony Davis

Pastor Anthony Davis rededicated his life to Christ in 1999 at Praise Deliverance Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop John H. Cherry, after being raised in the church in Houston, Texas.  He answered the call to ministry in 2001 and has faithfully served in various roles, including Deacon, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and leader in outreach and prison ministry, later being ordained as Pastor of Church Without Bars.

His work in Prison Ministry Outreach Team (P.M.O.T), under the leadership of Pastor Don Jones, and Church Without Bars, brought the Word to those incarcerated, playing an important spiritual role in their lives and receiving various achievement awards, mostly proclamations from the late great mayor and congressman, Sylvester Turner, and the late great congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and in 2024, from Houston mayor, John Whitmire.

Through years of dedication, education, and service, he remained steadfast during seasons of transition, helping to strengthen and rebuild the ministry.  In 2024, he was formally ordained and installed as Pastor of Praise Deliverance Holiness Church, where he continues to lead, along with dedicated wife, Lady Ophal Davis, with faith, integrity, and a commitment to advancing God’s Kingdom.
